Super Eagles of Nigeria Ranked 30th in FIFA 2024 Ranking

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have been ranked 30th in the 2024 Men’s World Football Ranking, dropping two places from their previous position of 28th. The rankings, released by the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) on Thursday, showcased Nigeria’s standing following their recent performances.

Despite participating in two friendly matches after the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament, where they secured a 2-1 victory against Ghana and suffered a 2-0 defeat against Mali, the Eagles experienced a slight decline in their global ranking. This places them below notable African teams like Morocco and Senegal.

Argentina claimed the top spot in the ranking, followed by France, Belgium, and England in the top four positions. Nigeria remains among the top 50 teams globally, maintaining its status as one of Africa’s football powerhouses. The rankings serve as a barometer of the team’s performance on the international stage and reflect their standing in the global football community.

While the Super Eagles strive to improve their ranking in future competitions, their current position underscores the competitive landscape of international football. With upcoming tournaments and matches on the horizon, Nigerian football enthusiasts eagerly anticipate the team’s performance as they continue their quest for success on the world stage.
