The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has disclosed the outcomes of the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), and below is how to check the UTME result. Professor Ishaq Oloyede, the Registrar of JAMB, officially declared the release of the results during a press conference convened at the board’s headquarters in Bwari, Abuja, on Monday.
Conducted across 118 towns and over 700 examination centers, the UTME commenced on Friday, April 19, and concluded on Monday, April 29, 2024. Despite the anticipation, the release of the results faced a brief delay as the board meticulously examined the outcomes to ensure their credibility and integrity. This thorough scrutiny aimed to address concerns related to issues such as impersonation, mixed biometrics, and other forms of malpractices.
Candidates can access their results through the JAMB eFacility Portal by logging in with their registered email address and password. Upon logging in, they can click on the “Check UTME Results” button to view their scores for each subject taken. Alternatively, candidates can opt for the SMS method by composing a message with the word “RESULT” followed by their JAMB Registration Number and sending it to either 55019 or 66019, the official JAMB result inquiry numbers. However, it’s essential to note that this SMS method incurs a service charge of N50, deducted from the candidate’s mobile phone airtime.
