The Kano State Government has confirmed the acquisition of 41 ‘luxurious’ sports utility vehicles (SUVs) for members of the State House of Assembly, each valued at N68 million, reports Dailypost. Shehu Wada Sagagi, the Governor’s Chief of Staff, endorsed the purchase, emphasizing the legislators’ entitlement to reliable vehicles for their duties.
Sagagi confirmed the delivery of SUVs to legislators, totaling approximately N2.6 billion. The governor opted to spread payments amidst economic challenges, demonstrating financial prudence.
