Northern Elders Express Disappointment

The Northern Elders Forum (NEF), led by Prof Ango Abdullahi, is deeply disappointed with President Bola Tinubu’s latest national address. The elders reproached the President for neglecting critical national issues, including protesters’ demands and severe security challenges in the north. They argue that the speech failed to address the urgent needs and escalating crises affecting the country.

He rebuked the President for ignoring the hardships endured by residents in the North-West and other regions. Suleiman condemned the lack of governmental response to the escalating criminal activities devastating these areas.

A Call for Immediate Government Action

The Northern Elders Forum (NEF) has called on President Tinubu to take immediate and decisive actions to tackle pressing issues affecting the nation. They have specifically urged the government to prioritize safety and security in the northern regions, where instability continues to grow.

Emphasizing the need for concrete measures, the NEF demands that the government develop and implement robust plans to address the significant security challenges that have long destabilized these areas. This action is crucial for restoring peace and ensuring the safety of the region’s residents.
