Mbappé and Vinicius Shine in Victory at Reale Arena

Mbappé and Vinicius Secure Real Madrid’s Win

Real Madrid clinched a 2-0 victory over Real Sociedad at Reale Arena, thanks to penalty goals from Kylian Mbappé and Vinicius Jr. The match was a hard-fought battle, with both teams creating numerous opportunities, but Madrid’s key players proved decisive in front of a 37,370-strong crowd.

Vinicius Breaks the Deadlock

The Brazilian forward Vinicius Jr. opened the scoring for Madrid in the 58th minute, converting a penalty after Sergio Gomez was penalised for handling the ball. It marked his second La Liga goal of the season, giving Madrid the upper hand in a tense contest.

Mbappé Extends Madrid’s Lead

Kylian Mbappé, who joined Real Madrid on a free transfer from Paris St-Germain this summer, added a second goal in the 75th minute. He calmly slotted the ball into the net from the penalty spot after Jon Aramburu fouled Vinicius Jr. The Frenchman’s goal was his third in two games, continuing his excellent form for the club.

Sociedad’s Near Misses

Despite the scoreline, Real Sociedad came close to taking the lead multiple times. They hit the woodwork three times, with Luka Susic’s thunderous strike rattling the crossbar in the 25th minute. Another close call came when Sheraldo Becker’s left-footed effort spun off the bar after Dani Carvajal lost possession.

Sociedad’s Frustrations Continue

Sociedad’s frustration continued into the second half when Susic’s shot struck the post just seconds after the restart. The Croatian midfielder came within inches of scoring but couldn’t find the back of the net. Despite their impressive play, Sociedad failed to capitalise on their chances.
