In a recent turn of events, Nigerian music star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, Davido Sues Sophia Momodu, the mother of his daughter Imade. The lawsuit, filed at the Lagos State High Court, seeks joint custody of their child.
Davido claims to have consistently fulfilled his financial responsibilities towards Imade’s well-being and education. He alleges that despite his efforts, Sophia Momodu has made unreasonable demands, including rejecting a luxurious apartment worth N200 million and demanding annual payments of N5 million for a rented facility.
The singer also claims to have provided a Range Rover SUV and a Highlander SUV for Imade’s transportation needs, along with additional funds for the vehicle’s repair. However, he states that Momodu has continued to make outlandish demands, including $800 monthly for a nanny.
In the lawsuit, Davido emphasizes his commitment to Imade’s well-being and seeks a court order granting him joint custody of their daughter. The legal action, bearing the suit number LD/1587PMC/2024, names Davido as the applicant and Sophia Momodu as the sole respondent.
