Some recounted deliberately failing to gain admission due to the hostel’s state. Another user described efforts to improve their living space, indicating a lack of support from the university.
An X.com user, known as Urch d’ billionaire and tweeting under the handle #ruby_darl, commented, “During my time at UNN, more than 80% of male students opted to live off-campus due to the deplorable conditions in the boys’ hostels. It was a dire situation.”
AlZ, tweeting anonymously as #automatedLZ, remarked, “Compared to what I’ve seen at UNN, this hostel is like a luxury duplex.”

Another X.com user, Emma.Ai, tweeting as #EmarhNFT, shared, “When I contemplated admission to UNN Nsukka, a brief stay in the hostel made me reconsider. I couldn’t study there.”
