On 4th September 2024, residents of M.I Wushishi Estate in Minna, Niger State, received dire threats from suspected bandits. The bandits demanded that residents vacate their homes or face lethal consequences. This unsettling command followed a violent incursion into the area. Individuals believed to be miners carried out the incursion, as local reports confirmed. The community was left in a state of fear due to these developments.

During the time when most male residents were at work, bandits launched a brazen attack. This resulted in significant property damage, including shattered car windows and broken house windows. Niger State Police spokesman, Wasiu Abiodun, confirmed the incident, stating that officers promptly responded after receiving distress calls. They are continuing their investigation to apprehend the remaining culprits involved in the incident.
