FRSC Warns Against Recruitment Scams

FRSC Denies Ongoing Recruitment Claims

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) warns the public about false online publications claiming the agency is recruiting. Assistant Corps Marshal and Public Education Officer, Olusegun Ogungbemide, categorically dismisses these claims as baseless in a Friday statement and urges the public to ignore them.

No Recruitment Plans in Progress

The Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, reiterated that the FRSC is not conducting any recruitment exercise and, furthermore, has no immediate plans for such. Moreover, he emphasised that all hiring processes within the agency are conducted transparently and consistently announced through verified official channels.

Verified Channels for Recruitment Information

The agency reassured the public that any legitimate recruitment updates would be communicated via its official website, social media platforms, and the National Traffic Radio 107.1FM. “Recruitment processes in the Corps have always been transparent, credible, and publicly announced,” the statement read.

Warning Against Scams

The FRSC urged Nigerians to avoid engaging with individuals or platforms spreading false recruitment information, as these are likely fraudulent schemes designed to exploit unsuspecting applicants. Additionally, the agency stressed that it would not bear responsibility for any losses incurred by those deceived by such scams.

Public Admonished to Stay Cautious

The FRSC advises potential applicants and the general public to exercise caution and, moreover, to rely only on verified sources for updates. Additionally, Mohammed directly warns those seeking to join the Corps to disregard fake and misleading publications.

Commitment to Transparency

The agency protects the public from fraudulent schemes by disseminating all recruitment adverts through legitimate channels.
