Governor Alex Otti marked his first year in office with a state broadcast on May 29, 2024, reflecting on his administration’s achievements and outlining future plans for Abia State. Achievements in Infrastructure and Security
Governor Otti emphasized the substantial progress made in road infrastructure, citing the rehabilitation and reconstruction of over 80 road stretches across Abia’s 17 local government areas. Notable projects include the ongoing reconstruction of Port Harcourt Road and the Osisioma-Ekeakpara Road, both of which had been neglected for decades.
