Gunmen Attack Tilengpat Pushit Community in Plateau State Again, Killing Twelve

In a tragic recurrence of violence, gunmen once again carried out a deadly attack on the Tilengpat Pushit community situated in the Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State, Nigeria. The brazen attack resulted in the loss of twelve lives, casting a somber shadow over the region.

The assault unfolded during the late hours of Thursday, shattering the peace of the community and leaving a trail of devastation in its wake. This recent bloodshed follows closely on the heels of another deadly attack just last week, where gunmen claimed the lives of at least ten individuals in nearby villages.

Eyewitnesses reported that the assailants, armed and ruthless, struck with merciless efficiency, targeting innocent civilians and sparing no one in their path. Homes were set ablaze, adding to the chaos and horror of the night.

Markus Argue, Chairman of the Mangu Local Government Area, confirmed the grim news, expressing shock and outrage at the senseless violence perpetrated against the community. Speaking to reporters in Jos on Friday, Argue lamented the loss of life and condemned the wanton brutality unleashed upon unsuspecting women and children.

As the community grapples with the aftermath of the tragedy, local leaders and law enforcement agencies have launched investigations to unravel the motives behind the heinous crimes and bring the perpetrators to justice. The identities of the victims have yet to be disclosed, pending notification of their families.

Meanwhile, in neighboring Bokkos Local Government Area, women have taken to the streets in protest, denouncing the escalating violence and demanding action from authorities. Their voices echo the collective anguish and determination to stem the tide of bloodshed that threatens to engulf the region.
