JAMB to Announce UTME 2024 Results Following Scrutiny

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is gearing up to announce the results of the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) in an eagerly anticipated press briefing scheduled for Monday in Abuja. JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, will take the podium to address the release of the results and associated matters, as outlined in a notice disseminated to journalists by the Board’s Head of Public Relations, Fabian Benjamin, on Sunday.

Speculations suggest that the results slated for release on Monday will pertain specifically to candidates who participated in the UTME during its initial days, with others expected to follow suit after the completion of “due diligence.” The decision to delay the release of certain results aims to facilitate meticulous scrutiny, with the goal of upholding the credibility and integrity of the outcomes. The process seeks to mitigate doubts or uncertainties arising from issues such as impersonation and biometric discrepancies.

The past week witnessed a flurry of activity as more than 1.9 million candidates registered for the 2024 UTME across a network of over 700 Computer-Based Test centers spread nationwide. This massive turnout underscores the significance of the examination in the academic journey of aspiring tertiary institution students across the country. As the examination nears its conclusion today, April 29, 2024, candidates and stakeholders alike anticipate the release of results, which will shape educational trajectories.
