Junior Pope’s Funeral- Family Announces Final Rites

The family of the beloved Nollywood actor, John Odonwodo, known fondly as Junior Pope, has disclosed the dates for his final rites following his untimely demise.

Odonwodo, aged 43, tragically lost his life alongside four companions on April 10, when the boat they were traveling in capsized in the River Niger upon their return from a film shoot. In accordance with the funeral announcement released by Divine Odonwodo on behalf of the family, the series of ceremonies to honor Junior Pope commenced on April 23 with a requiem mass held at Saint John-Mary Vianney Parish in Asaba, Delta State. The announcement further outlined plans for additional ceremonies to pay tribute to Odonwodo’s life and legacy. Friends, colleagues, and well-wishers will gather at Christ the King Catholic Parish in G.R.A, Enugu on May 13 to conduct another requiem mass, offering their respects.

After the requiem mass, attendees will gather at Amadeo Event Center in the same state on May 14 for an evening dedicated to tributes and candle lighting. This event will serve as a heartfelt gathering to share memories of Junior Pope and celebrate his contributions to the entertainment industry.
