Mother Protests Son’s Death at Abuja School

The grief-stricken mother of four-year-old Miguel Ovoke, who tragically passed away at BrickHall School in Abuja, protests at the institution, accusing authorities of attempting to cover up her son’s death.

Wearing somber black attire, the grief-stricken mother stood outside BrickHall School, clutching a cardboard sign bearing a poignant demand for justice for her late son, Miguel. Her accusations rang out, accusing the school of negligence in the tragic incident. Alongside her grievance about the school’s handling of Miguel’s case, she voiced concerns about the institution’s overcrowded classrooms and the excessively high fees, adding fuel to the fire of her protest.

In a powerful display of maternal anguish, the mother’s attire mirrored her sorrow, while her vocal condemnation of the school’s alleged shortcomings underscored her determination to seek accountability and change. As she stood firm, demanding answers and accountability, her protest echoed the sentiments of many who shared her outrage and demanded justice for Miguel’s untimely passing.

Videos of the protest circulated widely on social media, showing the mother confronting school staff and accusing them of deceit regarding her son’s condition and subsequent demise. She specifically identified individuals whom she believed were complicit in the alleged cover-up.

Amidst the protest, a police officer questioned the mother’s presence, indicating that her case was under investigation. Earlier reports and medical records confirmed that Miguel passed away on the school premises during feeding hours.

According to the death certificate issued by Excel Specialist Hospital, Miguel arrived unconscious, having aspirated meat during feeding. Despite efforts by medical personnel, he was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital, adding further tragedy to the heart-wrenching incident.
