Multichoice Price Hike Sparks Alternative Interest Among Nigerians

Multichoice price hike decision of its offerings in Nigeria has prompted many consumers to consider alternative options, including SLTV. The move, which came just four months after the last increment, has sparked outrage online, with Nigerians expressing discontent over the timing of the hike.

Kelvin Odanz, known as @MrOdanz on Twitter, encouraged Nigerians to explore alternatives rather than simply complaining about the price increase. He highlighted the availability of various services beyond DSTV for entertainment and sports, suggesting that consumers explore these options to find the best fit for their needs.

While some continue to lament the price hike, others have turned to social media to seek out more affordable alternatives to DSTV. Many have suggested SLTV as a viable option, citing its affordability and comparable services to DSTV.

SLTV, operated by Metro Digital Limited in Nigeria, offers over 50 HD channels, including 10 sports channels broadcasting live football matches from major leagues. With monthly subscription prices ranging from N5,000 to N2,500, SLTV has garnered attention as a cost-effective alternative to DSTV.

Social media users, including A. Ayofe, @mrblaaast, and @flourishbidex, have praised SLTV for its affordability and similar offerings to DSTV. Some have even shared tips on how to set up SLTV using existing DSTV equipment, further highlighting its appeal as an alternative television subscription service.
