In a sincere act of support, Niger’s President Abdourahame Tiani expressed condolences to Burkina Faso after the severe Barsalgho terrorist attack. The attack tragically killed over 200 people and injured at least 140. This gesture underscored President Tiani’s solidarity amidst such devastating circumstances. This attack underscores the ongoing security challenges in the region.

President Tiani, in his communication to Burkina Faso’s President, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, expressed a deep sense of sympathy and solidarity from the Nigerien people. He emphasized that such adversities only fortify their resolve to combat the forces of instability plaguing their nations. “The increasing number of our martyrs does not weaken our spirit but rather steels our determination to dismantle the networks that obstruct our march towards peace and progress,” stated Tiani.

Sawadogo reassured continuous public support, urging the president to maintain his efforts against these formidable challenges.
