False Claims and Panic
The Plateau State Police Command has dismissed a viral video claiming incidents of looting and vandalism by protesters at a rice mill in the Zaria area. The police labelled the video as a deceptive attempt to create unrest and panic among residents. The Command’s spokesperson, Alabo Alfred, issued a statement on Friday addressing these concerns.

Alfred described the video as having criminal intentions, categorically stating that the claims were false and unfounded. He emphasized that the video was a malicious attempt to incite panic and unrest within the state.

The spokesperson further warned individuals against spreading such misleading information, highlighting the severe consequences for those caught disseminating false content. The police are determined to identify and penalize those responsible for spreading panic.
