The cleric’s escape followed the heinous act, triggering a manhunt as police work to apprehend him.

Unbeknownst to Malik, his companions had conspired with the cleric to sacrifice him in this gruesome ritual. A relative told journalists they hurried to the scene, finding Malik’s decapitated body at the cleric’s home. “It was a horrifying sight; Malik was lifeless, his head cruelly severed,” the relative reported, clearly distressed by the sight. This gruesome discovery has deeply shaken the family and the local community.

The cleric’s residence was reportedly set ablaze by angry local youths following the discovery. Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso, confirmed an active investigation into the case. “We are treating this case with utmost seriousness and following all leads,” he stated.
