In a significant update, the TLScontact Visa Application Centre in Enugu has announced its opening. New appointments will start from 13 September 2023. The centre has also introduced a range of added value services designed to enhance the visa application experience. This comes amid fluctuating exchange rates between the Naira and Pounds Sterling, affecting visa applicants.
Centre Reopening and New Appointments
The Enugu Visa Application Centre is now open for new visa applications. Applicants can check the centre’s address and operating hours on their official website. The centre has also clarified that it does not have a parking lot, urging applicants to plan their travel time accordingly.
Premium Location and Added Value Services
Additionally, Enugu has been designated as a TLScontact Premium Location. Consequently, customers using this location will incur a fee of GBP 250.00 / NGN 246,250.00. This fee notably includes a Premium Lounge appointment, courier return, and SMS notifications.
Passport Collection and Courier Service
The centre states that they will return all passports via courier service because the Enugu location lacks a passport return facility. Applicants will receive email notifications, complete with tracking information, when the centre dispatches their passports.
Beware of Fraud and Scams
Importantly, TLScontact warns that visa appointments can only be booked through their official channels, thereby alerting the public to fraudulent activities. Furthermore, the centre does not accept cash payments and emphatically states that it never requests payment via social media or money transfers to individuals.
Exchange Rate Fluctuations
UKVI has acknowledged the fluctuating exchange rates between the Naira and Pounds Sterling. The centre advises applicants to factor this into their calculations for the money needed to cover living expenses while in the UK.
Important Notice on Uncollected Passports
The centre advises customers to collect their passports within three months from the date they are ready; otherwise, the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) will receive the uncollected passports.
